Before you can start configuring your Yieldr Ads Tag (our tracking pixel) for implementation on your website, or create audience cases to use on your campaigns, it is imperative to first select and set the parameters you want our Tag to track on your website.
Every parameter you add to your Yieldr Ads Tag, will also automatically be available for case creation later on. If you are not planning on implementing our pixel, you can skip this step and move on to learn how to create a new Insertion Order.
The parameters that you select for your advertiser will be added to the Yieldr Ads Tag that you generate after this step. To start configuring your parameters, make sure you are logged into the Yieldr Ads Platform. Select your advertiser and hover over the three dots on the right, and select "edit" in the tooltip.
Navigate to the "Parameter & Pixels" tab in the menu on the left:
The Yieldr Tag has a lot of predefined standard parameters you can use in your pixel. You can either work with this default selection, or you can create your own custom parameters. Click on "Configure parameters" in the blue bar on the top left, and you will see a pop-up screen:
Here you can configure parameters for your audience. Please note that if you define a new parameter, you also need to define the operator (e.g. date, decimal or string). To do this, type in the name of your parameter, select the operator of choice, and then click "Add" to add it to your list.
Once you've added all the custom parameters you want to configure, click "Done" and your customized parameters will be added to the default list in the first screen.
If your website uses a cookie wall or consent form, it might give users the possibility to opt-out of being tracked. This can be done by either not loading the Yieldr Tag or by using the parameter cookies_allowed. Set cookies_allowed=1 as a standard, and when a user explicitly doesn't give consent set cookies_allowed=0. This opts the user out.
Once you've configured all your parameters, you can generate your tag. In order to do this, simply click on "Show tracking pixel" in the green bar at the top of your screen, and copy the text so you can add it to your target website.

Please note: The advertiser_id should be the same as the advertiser_id you have created in the platform and make sure the output=img is set at the end of the url.
