Before you can set up the abandoned cart campaign through Oracle Responsys using Yieldr Air audiences, you need to have a Yieldr Air - Oracle Responsys integration.

Once the integration is set up, you can create your abandoned cart campaign, trigger
and program.

To create a custom event:

  1. Log in to Oracle Responsys with Account Administrator privileges.
  2. Click the menu icon in the upper left and select Account.
  3. In the Account Customization area, below the Global Settings heading, click Define custom event types.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the custom events list and then click Add New Type.
  5. Complete the Custom Event Type Name, Description fields
  6. Click Save.

To create a program watch this video.

Next head over to the segments section of the Yieldr platform and click on Create Abandoned Cart.

Select the fields you want to use in your personalisation. These fields will be pushed automatically to your template in Oracle Responsys for identified abandoned cart users.
In your template in Oracle Responsys you should write these fields as ${VALUE}. For example, for First Name you should set it as ${FIRSTNAME} or Destination should be set as ${DEST}.

To create a campaign:

  1. Log into Oracle Responsys
  2. Click Campaign > Create Campaign > Email
  3. Set Name, select Purpose>Transactional and select the required list and folders
  4. Click Done and start creating your message or select a template
  5. You can use the above configured DynamicVariables in your template
  6. If you want to use a language condition, you need to modify it in the HTML in the following way: <#if DynamicVariables.LANGUAGE == "es ">  <#else>  </#if>
  7. Below are the list of parameters and how they should be written:
${ADULTS} Adults
${CHILDREN} Children
${CURRENCY} Flight Currency
${DEPDATE} Flight Departure Date
${DEST} Flight Destination IATA code
${DESTNAME} Flight Destination Name
${INFANTS} Infants
${ORG} Flight Origin IATA code
${ORGNAME} Flight Origin Name
${RETDATE} Flight Return Date
${PRICE}   Flight Value
${LANGUAGE} Language
${OBSDATE} Date of Search
${TOTALVALUE}        Total Value
${FIRSTNAME} First Name
${LASTNAME} Last Name

We also send up to 5 recommended routes. To use these recommendations use:

${R#ORG}	Flight Origin IATA #
${R#DEST} Flight Destination IATA #
${R#ORGNNAME} Flight Origin Name #
${R#DESTNAME} Flight Destination Name #
${R#PRICE} Flight Value #

# = from 0 to 4

All dynamic fields that you want to use in your Abandoned Cart campaign should also be added to both the program and the campaign workbook in Oracle Responsys.

To add Variables to the program head over to your program and click on Settings>Tracking and Variables> +

Now add the exact same Variables to the campaign workbook head over to your program and click on Campaign>Data Sources>Dynamic Variables

After selecting and adding the personalisation fields, the next step is to select the custom event that will trigger the emails, which you previously created in Oracle Responsys. This is the event that you are going to use in your Program. Select it in Yieldr Air from the dropdown at the bottom.

Once this is set up, you can click on 'Start Streaming'.
Remember! By clicking on this button you won't actually start streaming users to Responsys, you will simply confirm the set up of your abandoned cart in Yieldr Air, but the actual flow will be PAUSED automatically.

When you are happy with your templates in Oracle Responsys and you are ready to test or launch your abandoned cart campaign emails, you can come back to Yieldr Air > Segment and click on 'Test' or 'Start'.

More details on how to test, pause or start your abandoned cart campaigns can be found here
