You may occasionally encounter errors when exporting segments from Yieldr Air to other platforms. Sometimes you will see the error icon on one of your activation channels like the image below.  

It is also possible that there is an issue with the segment but the segment in Yieldr Air does not display the warning icon. Please make sure to check in your respective advertiser platform that the segment matches the segment from Yieldr Air. 

Errors in activations can happen for several reasons. Please find the correct activation channel below for help troubleshooting your error.

  

Facebook Errors

The Facebook integration works based on email addresses collected by the Yieldr tag. These email addresses are then matched with the email addresses of Facebook accounts.  

Segment Size is Too Small

It’s possible your segment size is too small. Facebook Custom Audiences requires a segment of at least 20 people, however it is recommended that your segment sizes are 1,000 or more to be effective. 

Keep in mind that even if your segment size includes 20 email addresses, not all of these will match with Facebook accounts. 

Solution: Increase the size of your segment, and then re-export this to Facebook

Integration Errors

It's possible the integration was not setup correctly, and so the segment cannot be exported properly to Facebook. 

For example, if the person who set up the integration does not have access to the Facebook advertiser account anymore, it may appear as though the segment has exported properly but then the integration may not work. 

This may also occur when the integration is set up by someone who doesn’t have access to the Facebook advertiser account.

Solution: Make sure you are able to login to your Facebook Advertiser platform, and check that the integration is setup correctly.  

*Please note that you can always download the user email addresses list and upload it in Facebook manually. However this will not stream new users that match your segment’s conditions. 



Adwords Errors

The Adwords integration works by matching email addresses collected on our platform with the Adwords platform. is important to keep in mind that Adwords requires these to be Gmail addresses.

Segment Size is Too Small

It’s possible that the segment you are trying to export is too small. Adwords requires a segment size of at least 100 people. 

Even though your segment size may include over 100 email addresses it may not contain enough Gmail addresses.    

Solution: Try to increase the size of your segment, and then re-export this to Adwords.  

*Please note that you can always download the user email addresses list and upload it in Google Adwords manually. This will not stream new users that match your segment’s conditions. 



Google Doubleclick Bid-Manager (DBM) Errors

Segment Size is Too Small

DBM Requires a segment of 1,000 people in order to be exported. If your segment size is too small you may see an error.

Solution: Try to increase the size of your segment, and then re-export this to DBM



Sendgrid Errors 

Account Limits

If your Sendgrid account plan has a limit on the amount of emails you can store, it may cause an error when exporting a segment from Yieldr Air. 

Solution: If you have exceeded your account limit, you either need to upgrade your Sendgrid plan, or try exporting a smaller segment of users in order to not exceed your plan limit. 

No Emails Detected

If you are exporting a segment to Sendgrid but there are no emails detected from the Yieldr platform, the segment will return an error.

Solution: Increase the size of your segment, then re-export this to Sendgrid

*Please note that you can always download the user email addresses list and upload it in Sendgrid manually.



Mailchimp Errors

Account Limits

If your Mailchimp account plan has a limit on the amount of emails you can store, it may cause an error when exporting a segment from Yieldr Air. 

Solution: If you have exceeded your account limit, you either need to upgrade your Mailchimp plan, or try exporting a smaller segment of users in order to not exceed your plan limit. 

No Emails Detected

If you are exporting a segment to Mailchimp but there are no emails detected from the Yieldr platform, the segment will return an error.

Solution: Increase the size of your segment, then re-export this to Mailchimp

*Please note that you can always download the user email addresses list and upload it in Mailchimp manually.

Oracle Responsys Errors

No Emails Detected

If you are exporting a segment to Responsys but there are no emails detected from the Yieldr platform, the segment will return an error.

Solution: Increase the size of your segment, then re-export this to Responsys

*Please note that you can always download the user email addresses list and upload it in Oracle Responsys manually.



Yieldr Ads

No matched users

It's possible that no matched users were found this segment. 

Solution: Try expanding your segment to gather a larger pool of users. This will increase the likelihood of having matched users. 




Other miscellaneous errors 

Account no longer connected

It's possible the integration is no longer correctly setup.

Solution: Login to your advertiser platform and ensure that the integration is displayed properly.

Time out between exporting

If your session timed-out while the export was pending it may not display properly in your advertiser platform.

Solution: Try to export the segment again.
